Location :Hartford CT

Duration : 4 Months +

Project Manager

The Project Manager (PM) is required to develop, manage and administer the project implementation schedule and overall plan.  The PM is responsible for filling and meeting the needs of the project by working with the clients' project manager or business sponsor.  The PM is responsible for the overall effort and successful execution of the project.  The PM works with the client business sponsor to define and document the final scope of the initiative(s) and gain concurrence on their delivery. 

The PM works with the business and technical staff to communicate and clarify deliverables within the defined scope of the project.  The PM must therefore have exemplary communication, facilitation and client-facing skills.  They must be able to manage diverse teams which may be matrixed with client personnel.  The PM reports to the Client Engagement Partner or Program Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and resolve project issues with the Engagement Partner and then the business Client
• Manage scope and budget of project with the Clients PM
• Issue, negotiate and manage change control items
• Work with Client representatives and/or business analysts to develop business requirements
• Report progress and status for the team
• Recognize delays in the delivery of project milestones and communicate them in a proactive manner
• Participate in the staffing of the project team and manage them once in place
• Work to transfer knowledge to the Client
• Coordinate activities within the team and Client representatives
• Run the internal operations of the project on a day-to-day basis
• Ensure all business requirements and technical design deliverables are well documented in a standard Client format
• Ensure the project remains on schedule and within budget
