Title                 : Java Project Lead

Location          : Austin, TX

 

Job Duties:

The Java Project Lease ensures successful delivery of solutions required to transform a legacy environment to a modern, java based architecture. The project Lead works alongside the TCEQ Project Manager, contractor and FTE developers, acting as the technical lead, Java Subject matter expert and leads all technical aspects of the project including:

 

·         Leading the technical team during the transformation of all CA-Gen applications into Web based Java technology through all phases of the project

·         Mentoring, assigning, and monitoring the work to/for technical levels

·         Helping to establish the standards and frameworks

·         Building highly scalable web-based applications, with the strong emphasis on operation elements such as redundancy, efficiency, user-friendly, fault tolerance, logging and mentoring, troubleshooting and high availability;

·         Articulating engineering design strategies related to scalability, performance, security, usability and development platforms.

·         Other duties as assigned
