Qualified Candidates :
All candidates must possess strong Master Data Management Business Analyst type skills along with working knowledge of Informatica Master Data Management (MDM) suite and SQL.
Experience :
5 to 8 years of technical experience in business requirement analysis, testing and supervising application development in data management domain. Strong preference for Master Data Management.
Additional Qualifications:
Candidates should have a working knowledge of relational database modeling, especially Entity Relationship Diagramming, Normalization, and Data Flow Diagrams. Should
The primary work location is in Plymouth, MN. This position may potentially require both international as well as domestic travel. SJM Management is open to considering remote candidates only as a last resort.
All candidates must possess strong Master Data Management Business Analyst type skills along with working knowledge of Informatica Master Data Management (MDM) suite and SQL. All candidates must also have strong communication skills (both written & oral). This is a customer facing position that will require significant interaction with a wide range of business and technical personal.
Potential Project types:
- Small projects on Physician and Product Masters
- Possibly a medium sized project on Customer Master
- Coordinate tasks related to MDM infrastructure
- Small projects on MDM Data Services
JOB SUMMARY:
The Analyst in the Development Technologies Group is involved throughout the life cycle of a project, by working on gap analysis, business and functional requirements, testing and training related areas of application expertise. It includes collaborating with the business, technical and process teams to translate requirements into data management solutions and supporting specifications.
JOB DUTIES:
List the significant/essential duties, tasks or responsibilities which employees in this position are actually required to perform.
• Support projects and requests from the business relating to the management of applicable applications. This includes analysis, gathering of business requirements, and creation of functional and technical specs,
testing, training, escalation and follow-up.
• Responsible for implementing of configuration and set up to meet business requirements for projects of medium scope and complexity.
• Responsible for developing the required processes and methodologies for supporting an enterprise class data management application.
• Understands/analyzes business issues/problems and works with the business to identify appropriate solutions.
• Assist the business in understanding data management concepts and capabilities
• Prepares project and system documentation consistent with standards and procedures
• Understands underlying technologies adequately to discuss options with business, Project Managers, Architects and developers
• Coordinates the implementation of solutions with technical resources and members of the process and business teams.
• Prepares and conducts training to the users to meet their business objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business or related field. Work experience or other training considered in lieu of degree
• Preferred 5 to 8 years of technical experience required in business requirement analysis, testing and supervising application development in data management domain. Strong preference for Master Data
Management
• Understanding of Master Data Management concepts and application and demonstrated ability to speak to technologies
• Working knowledge of relational database modeling, especially Entity Relationship Diagramming, Normalization, and Data Flow Diagrams.
• Strong PL/SQL and SQL skills with ability to develop database views and tune query performance. Experience with Java highly desirable but not a requirement.
• Strong organizational, attention to detail and task follow up skills
• Demonstrated experience documenting business requirements that detailed the functional, process and data needs of a given business area.
• Experience using a full life cycle methodology for system development.
• Strong business aptitude, analytical, problem-solving
• Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to translate between business-focused and technical-focused individuals. "
