But we're in the final stages of our campaign to defeat SB58.  While the Florida House passed the bill yesterday, there are good signs that, with enough pressure, we can defeat this discriminatory bill in the Florida Senate: CAN YOU HELP US TODAY BY MAKING ONLY THREE PHONE CALLS: Call the below three senators and say: "I urge you to stop Senate Bill 58 (application of foreign law), don't schedule it in the rules committee or send it to the floor for a vote." Yerushalmi has called Islam the enemy and has called for the deportation of Muslims. Yerushalmi, makes the irrational claim that Islamic law is an imminent threat to the United States and that's why he drafted the anti-Shariah legislation. Senate bill 58 would ban courts from applying or even considering foreign "Islamic law" and/or international laws in family law disputes.  While the bill's supporters intended to target Muslims, it would also impact Jews and other religious minorities.  To learn more about the bill click here.
