We are looking for a Software Tester with one our client at Austin, TX

Title                 : Software Tester

Duration         : 6+ Months

Location          : Austin, TX (Locals are highly preferred)

 

Skills/ Abilities:

·         Four (4) year Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline; advanced degree a plus.

·         Three (3) years of working with current web technologies and testing of web applications is a must.

·         Intermediate-level understanding of Smoke Testing, Regression testing, Black box testing, white box testing, and automation testing.

·         Intermediate-level knowledge of Software Quality Assurance or Software Engineering Methodologies.

·         Generating SQL queries and using other data interrogation

·         Write, revise, and verify quality standards and test procedures (including test plans and test cases).

·         The ability to review and interpret business requirements and design specifications and translate them into test procedures.

·         Familiarity with database queries and the ability to create input data and verify data updates.

·         Understanding of Microsoft, Java, and n-tier web technologies.

·         Full understanding of System Development Life Cycle(SDLC) and Quality.

·         Good communication skills (interpersonal, listening, written and oral), be self-motivated, organized, thorough, and efficient is required.

·         Basic SQL skills, knowledge of database concepts.

·         Knowledge of Internet browsers (Internet Explorer, FireFox, Chrome)

·         The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

·         Experience with Microsoft Windows

·         Familiar with HP Unified Functional Testing automatic testing tool

·         Mainframe knowledge a plus.
