Requirements summary description –

 

·         Need a DW / BI engineer with strong data model and data integration experience.  We do not need an architect level type person

·         Current SQL Server 2012 experience (SQL DB and Not Oracle).  And must be working on this currently. 

·         Current Informatica 9x ETL experience.  Again – against a sql server db. 

·         Must have very good communication (no exceptions)

 

Nice to haves:

 

·         ERWIN Tool experience ( a big plus)

·         SAP knowledge (BO, Webi, dashboard).  Just knowledge.  NO need for the person to have actual work experience in SAP BI.

Qualifications:


Proven experience in various BI and Data Warehousing areas; Data Model design, Data Integration Design (ETL), BI Layer design and presentation layer design. Informatica 8-9+, Erwin 9.5, SQL 2008 through 2012, other relational DB products; EA Sparx a plus, Knowledge of the TOGAF Technical Reference Model for Experience developing in Business Objects versions 3-4; Universes, Queries, Web- Intelligence. Enterprise Information Management, Knowledge and experience with SAP Hana and BW a plus but not required.   Knowledge of Hana Modeling (views) a plus, Knowledge and experience with Hadoop version 2+, also a plus. Excellent written and verbal communications skills, experience working on projects, experience with task estimation and problem definition, ability to work with clients and other IT departments

Responsibilities:
BI and Analytics: - Business analysis, event modeling, data modeling, logical and physical database design, data acquisition analysis and design, data access analysis and design, know star/crystal schema, and fine tune very large databases (VLDBs) for complex queries - Properly design warehouse to enable easy, natural end-user access - Design for optimized data access considering the factors of batch data warehouse loading and maintenance resource utilization - Design Extract, Transform and load process - Knowledge of new data management technologies such as MPP and HDFS. Develop Business Objects Universes, queries and webi's.
