Job Title: Windows Support Specialist

Location: Niles, Illinois

Duration: 1+ Year

 

Job Description

Consultants will be supporting Client field employees and customers with the functionality

and maintenance of vending solutions offered through our third party automated inventory vendor,

Crib master. Consultants will be working with the field employees over the phone for a variety of

mechanical and/or software issues that will require the knowledge of moving mechanics, automated

circuitry, software functionality, Windows OS, and basic networking functions. The consultant should

complement these skills with excellent customer service, organized written communication (which

includes typing skills and thought organization), seasoned oral communication skills, and patience

in troubleshooting as these calls can last 30-60 minutes in some cases. Contractors should be able

to utilize the training received upon acceptance of the contract and couple that training with the

knowledge base in order to resolve or delegate these calls with minimal assistance.

 

Requirements Technical Musts

1. Knowledge of software troubleshooting

2. Mixed experience in PC and mechanical hardware troubleshooting

3. Knowledge of basic IT networking functionality

4. Windows OS Configuration experience

5. Customer Service experience in a call center environment

6. Experience with IT service ticketing software

7. Experience with knowledge base databases

Technical Pluses

1. IT Certifications

2. Experience troubleshooting automated inventory systems and/or vending machines

3. Remote troubleshooting of off-site equipment

4. Associate's Degree or higher in an Information Technology program

5. Networking/Hardware/Software Certifications

6. ITIL Certified

7. Experience with software collaboration tools.
