We have an urgent requirement as follows:

Job Title: Monitoring Analyst

Location: Chicago,Illinois

Dutation: 6+ Months

Job Description:

Initial Term is 6 Months will multiple renewals

C2C is acceptable no citizenship restrictions

Technical Requirements Include:

1. Monitoring Experience

2. Knowledge of databases and how to extract data from different data repositories

3. Unix KSH or Perl

4. Development background

Project Overview:

· Development background – ability to quickly understand how applications work, how data is

· moved and stored, application dependencies, understand how applications deliver value to the

· final product

· Need to expose data in a very complex environment so monitoring tools can be used to alert on

· changes that affect critical business processes

· Ability to reverse engineer applications and processes that deliver value to the business

· Work with development teams to determine

· What needs to be monitored within their applications

· How to determine that there could be a problem with their application or applications

· they depend on

· Retrieve critical status data from within the application or how to calculate such

· information – especially if logging of events or problems is not available

· Create thresholds for alerts and escalation procedures for any possible system problems

· Strong understanding of data extraction methodologies – how to construct SQL statements to

· pull data from different data repositories

· Scripting languages – KSH and Perl – Java knowledge would be good to have as well

· Splunk, NetScout, and Dynatrace experience would be good to have but not necessary

· Primarily working in Unix environment – there could be some Windows Server work as well
