Job Title: Senior Unix System Administrator
Duration: 12 months
Location: Queens, NY, US
Need EAD GC/GC/US citizens/TN visa consultant
Qualifications:
Position Functions or Responsibilities:
This role requires a senior system administrator to provide support for our client's Unix environment. Troubleshooting issues associated with the Operating System, and experience with Linux distribution (SUSELinux, Red Hat, Oracle, CENTOS). Understand Syslog and system-level security, comfortable with file system architecture and TCP/IP
Comfortable building Linux systems in a VMWare environment, and migration of existing systems from VMWare 3 or 4 to version 5. ODBC and JDBC experience (to work with application developers on debugging issues). Comfortable with the web tier (Apache, TomCat)
Experience with load balancing and point-and-switching (Citrix NetScaler)
