Mandatory Skills:

QC/QTP, Component testing, Compatibility testing, Oracle PL/SQL, Conformance Testing, Microsoft Office Suite, Black Box Testing

Desired Skills: .Net/J2EE

.The Senior Quality Control Engineer is responsible for all testing tasks for an assigned project. In addition to managing their own testing tasks, the Senior Quality Control will train and assist other Quality Control Engineers with testing tasks.

 

Job Duties

 

Each job duty is followed by the approximate percentage of time dedicated to each element.

a) Writing and Testing - 65%

·         Writing Test plans, test cases, test scripts and testing. Testing client/server and web applications.

 

b) Technical - 30 %

•        Learn the following: Assigned Q&MIS ® and SmartSolveTM modules, Btrieve, MSSQL and Oracle Databases, Magic, Crystal Report Writer.

•        Attend technical reviews.

•        Attend technical training on site or off company premises.

•        Participate in Technical Reviews.

•        Participate in Documentation Reviews.

 

c) Other Duties as Assigned -5 %

•        Ensure all documentation and software is ready for release.

•        Train QC Engineers and QC Trainees.

•        Create and updating the QC Knowledge Base.

•        Review test documents written by QC Engineers.

 

Qualifications

 

Minimum Educational Requirement

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or its equivalent.

 

Optimum Educational Attainment

Master's Degree or its equivalent

 

Minimum Skill and Experience Requirement

A minimum of 3 years of software testing

•        Proficient at MS-Word, Excel

•        Trouble shooting

•        Problem Solving

•        Strong Analytical skills.

•        Interpersonal Relations

•        Writing Test Documents(test plans, test cases)

•        Testing Techniques

•        Attention to detail

•        Strong desire for quality

•        Strong verbal and writing skills in English

•        Some Programming Experience

•        Experience with Btrieve, MSSQL and/or Oracle

•        Strong Analytical skills.
