Share this: Dear Amnesty Student and Local Group Leaders! We're kicking off a new campaign: Lift the Blockade on Gaza Students! Azza, Suhair, and Loujain are three Palestinian women who are blocked from attending the university of their choice. Why? Because the Israeli blockade prevents thousands of Palestinian students in the Gaza Strip from pursuing higher education in the nearby West Bank – part of the Occupied Palestinian Territories. Israel's blockade of the Gaza Strip traps over 1.6 million Palestinian civilians. Some 70% of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip now depend on humanitarian aid as conditions continue to worsen under the blockade. We need your help to lift the blockade on students.
